35MM: A Musical Exhibition

A picture is worth 1,000 words — what about a song? Can a picture inspire a song or fifteen? In 35mm, each of Matthew Murphy’s photos creates a unique song, moments frozen in time; a glimmer of a life unfolding, a glimpse of something happening. This stunning multimedia song cycle is an intricately woven collection of stories featuring FLCT Alums and current high school students, produced in partnership with RLS Studios.  PG-13 for language and mature content.

Last year, as the world heard the cries for racial justice and the calls for equity in the wake of continued violence and tragedy, FLCT joined the chorus of voices committed to doing the work of anti-racism and affirming the need for transformative, profound change in our organizations, our communities, our nation, and the world.

Now, we are pleased to share FLCT’s Action Steps for Equity and Belonging: A Working Plan.

This plan was developed by the FLCT Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, formed to help continue FLCT’s commitment that each student, family member, staff, volunteer and Board member feels welcomed, included, represented, and celebrated. It is a living document, intended to provide both philosophical guidance and specific policies in order to serve, reflect, and respect our diverse community, and will be revisited and amended on an ongoing basis.

FLCT is pleased to announce that our new facility is open and we are currently offering in-person instruction in addition to select classes at The Galleria Mall.

The pandemic caused programming to be limited but we are pleased to be hosting our official grand opening celebration on August 28, 2021. More information coming soon.
