Florida Children’s Theatre joins thousands around the world in condemning the recent acts of violence against Black people in America. FLCT stands with our Black students, families, staff, board members, and alumni against hatred, racism, and systemic injustice that disproportionately affects people of color. We strive to create a safe and inclusive place for all young people where compassion, diversity, and equity are core values. We recognize that much work needs to be done to make those goals a reality in the lives of many of our community members, and pledge our shared commitment to that work. We also recognize the dual responsibilities to reflect the community we serve, and to use our art to educate, motivate, and inspire all young people, and the community at large, to foster empathy and acceptance for every individual.
