MATILDA auditions & callbacks take place August 16th to 18th. Please note this show contains mature themes and language.

Students in grades 6th through 12th may be considered for any/all roles in this production, including Matilda, Kid School Group, Teen School Group and all the Adult Roles. Please follow the audition guidelines below.

Auditioners must bring a headshot (recent picture) stapled to their audition application. Please prepare a song from any genre including pop or musical theater that is age appropriate, shows your vocal range and displays a heavy dose of “teen-angst”. Your song should not exceed 3-minutes in length. Please also prepare to share a short story (Max 1-minute), recapping your most embarrassing day of school EVER. No monologue is required so please be creative and expressive in your storytelling and choice.

An accompanist will not be provided but it is required that you bring tracks (without vocals) to sing to. A CD player with AUX cable for playback devices (phones/tablets/pc/etc) will be provided.

Singing A Cappella (without music) is NOT acceptable for this audition. Singing along with recorded vocals is not permitted.

Students in grades 4th and 5th may submit a video audition to be considered by following the doodle link below for their SPECIFIC guidelines. Please be aware that this is our Teen Repertory Production, the child’s maturity and readiness should be considered prior to submitting for this production.
